To live is not to go untested,
without patiently accepting
the inevitable defeats and sufferings.
No! The Yogi, the Vira,
is not afraid of life!
He does not abstain out of fear
of suffering,
with detachment as his alibi.
Universal nature,
great and wondrous mystery;
is infinite
and infinite are the challenges
and the possibilities for action,
for knowledge within nature.
There is nothing to fear,
there is no attitude or quality
that cannot be conquered,
precisely by virtue
of life's complexity.
So it is for all:
men, gods, yogis,
but not for the slaves,
dominated by conventions,
who practice ancient rites.
Hope, their greatest thought,
Fear, their way of living.
Other new brave ones and heroes
emerge: the viras!
