Because sacrificing oneself to a Moloch is easier than developing qualities capable of nourishing the personality and, therefore, the Soul.
Because appearing good — even if weak — without doing anything is easier than acting and committing, building harmony and justice.
Because thinking that there exist religions, ideologies and divinities that think and judge in our place is easier than being autonomous and responsible thinkers.
For all these reasons, the path of Knowledge — which is responsibility for every action, every thought, every emotion — is a path for the few.
It is for those who fly alone:
every beat of the wings, a choice;
no one, but the Soul, to sustain them.
