Programme of the Day
Morning
Arrival at 9:30 am
Welcome and opening of the seminar
Preparation for practice and traditional purification techniques:
-
Jala Neti, as a preliminary practice of preparation and purification;
-
practice of Kriyā and Mudrā from the Haṭha Yoga tradition, aimed at preparing both the physical and subtle bodies for work with the elements;
-
introduction to and practice of Oli Mudrā, traditional techniques through which denser energies are gathered, transformed and progressively directed towards subtler forms;
- the transformation of the elements, from the physical plane to the vital energies and the subtler dimensions of experience, through the refined practices of meditation.
The practice will unfold as a unified process: not as a sequence of isolated techniques, but as different instruments of Yoga acting upon the body, prāṇa and mind according to a single principle of transformation.
Yajña – The Fire of Transformation
The morning will culminate in the practice of Yajña, the sacred fire ritual in its Vedic and Āgamic dimensions.
Fire, Agni, is at once an element, a principle of transformation and a living image of the yogic work itself: that which is offered into the fire is transformed in its very nature.
Through the ritual, we will explore the meaning of offering, combustion and transformation, relating the outer fire of sacrifice to the inner fire of Sādhanā, through which the elements of one’s being are progressively purified, recombined and transcended.
